Volunteer Opportunities- Committees & Task Forces
Ambassadors!
The Ambassadors have a very important role in the Chamber with a mission
to welcome and recognize businesses and represent the Chamber in the
community. They meet twice a month for new member and retention visits
on the first Thursday and the third Tuesday of each month at 3 p.m.
They also meet the first Thursday of each month at 4:30 p.m. for a
monthly meeting. For more information or to join the Ambassadors, contact the current Chairperson:

Arbor Pointe Business Committee!
The Arbor Pointe Business Committee's mission is to represent and promote businesses in the Arbor Pointe, Concord/Cahill and Buchanan Trail area. They meet on the fourth Wednesday of each month. BridgePoint Business Committee!
The BridgePoint Business Committee's mission is to provide a forum for BridgePoint
business members to get together and discuss ways to improve doing
business in the BridgePoint area. They meet quarterly on
the last Thursday of the month. For more information, contact Jennifer at the Chamber office.
Cahill Corridor Committee!
The Cahill Corridor Committee's mission is
to represent business interests in the Cahill Corridor area of Inver Grove Heights. They meet quarterly on an as needed basis. This group also has a partnership with the South West Review- Lillie Suburban Newspapers for space promoting the Cahill Banner Sponsorships. A business on Cahill Ave.can sponsor a banner/flag and get recognized in the newspaper. The money raised from the sponsorships helps with the maintenance and beautification of Cahill and gets presented to the City of Inver Grove Heights at the end of the year. ChamberNet!
ChamberNet includes two networking groups that meet twice a month at Noon. The
mission of both groups is to provide a forum for members to give and
receive qualified business leads. ChamberNet is a non-competitive
group where only one individual in the group will represent a specific
business sector. There is a $25/year participation fee. Michael Schaeffer
Chairs ChamberNet 1, which meets on the first and third Wednesdays
of the month. Jason Nelson Chairs ChamberNet 2 that meets on the first

Gala Task Force!
The Gala Task Force kicks off in the spring to plan the Chamber’s largest fundraising event which is held
annually in November. Their mission is to provide assistance in planning and
promoting the annual Gala event. They meet on an as needed basis from May to November before the event. For more information or to get involved
in planning this fun event, contact the Chamber office.
Golf Classic Task Force!
The Golf Classic Task Force's mission is to organize the annual Golf Classic
as a social outing for members while fundraising for the Chamber. They meet on an as needed basis from February to May. For
more information on the Golf Classic or to participate on this fun

at the Chamber office.
Heights of Inver Grove Committee!
The Heights of Inver Grove Committee's mission is to promote and market the Heights of Inver Grove
businesses. The committee meets on an as needed basis usually on the third Wednesday of the month. “Taste
of the Heights” and "Discover the Heights" are examples of events the group has done
in the past. The "Discover the Heights" project helped advertise the businesses in the Heights
area and encouraged people in the community to visit the participating

IGH Local Issues Committee!
The IGH Local Issues Committee's mission is to promote and encourage responsible quality growth
and development in Inver Grove Heights from both community and business
perspectives, and monitor local issues to be political, pro-active
and take united stands. This committee meets on the second Thursday
of each month at 8 a.m. To find out how you can get involved in the IGH

Legislative Action Committee!
The Legislative Action Committee's mission is to represent and promote business interests and formulate policy positions on county, metropolitan, state and national legislative issues. They meet weekly or on an as needed basis during the legislative session. Membership Committee!
The Membership Committee's mission is to strengthen and grow the membership of the River Heights
Chamber of Commerce. This committee is looking for dedicated volunteers
to be a part of this hardworking group. They meet
on the third Tuesday of each month at 4:45 p.m.. To find out how you can

Recognition Committee!
The Recognition Committee's mission is to investigate recognition opportunities, establish
recommendations for the award/recognition criteria and select recipients
from the membership. The Recognition Committee does an annual review
of the criteria for the Chamber's major awards: Forest Glewwe's Visions of Excellence,
Business of the Year, Small Business of the Year and Rising Star(s).
They meet on an as needed basis usually twice a year in March and December. To find out how you can get involved in the Recognition Committee,

SSP Local Issues Committee!
The SSP Local Issues Committee's mission is to promote and encourage responsible quality growth and development in South St. Paul from both community and business perspectives, and monitor local issues to be political, pro-active and take united stands. This committee meets on the fourth Wednesday of each month at 7:30 a.m. To find out how you can get involved in the SSP Local Issues Committee, contact the current Chairperson: Bill Smith or Jennifer at the Chamber office.
Twins Night Task Force!
The Twins Night Task Force's mission is to provide a community wide get-together at the Dome to see a Twins game. A summer season game is usually chosen. Wakota Bridge Coalition!
The Wakota Bridge Coalition's mission is to promote and facilitate the expansion of the I-494
Corridor which includes communities adjacent to the bridge in Washington,
Dakota and Ramsey Counties. For more information on the objectives of this Coalition or to join this
group, contact the current Chairperson: Colette Jurek or Jennifer at the Chamber office.
