The South St. Paul State of the City Address will be on Tuesday, February 23, from 4:00-5:00 p.m. in the City Council Chambers. If you are a Business owner, resident or do business in South St. Paul, This is an event you wont want to miss. Hear from Mayor Baumann and City Council Members as they recap 2015, and talk about plans for 2016. Find out about Economic Development, the police and fire update, what’s happening at Wakota Arena and Flemming Field, Parks and Recreation and city government updates. This event will be a live telecast on Town Square TV.

Dave Metzen is a graduate of the University of Minnesota where he also served as captain of the hockey team.  Dave was Superintendent of South St. Paul School district until he retired in 2000.  Dave went on to serve on the University of Minnesota Board of Regents and was appointed as the Director of Higher Education for the state of MN by Governor Pawlenty.

The River Heights Chamber of Commerce is partnering with CHS to offer a Legislative Breakfast on March 3, 2016. We will be hosting a preview of the 2016 Legislative Session, allowing Chamber members the opportunity to have an interactive discussion with State Legislators regarding upcoming policies and how these policies will directly influence Minnesota businesses. Lester Bagley will be our featured speaker. Bagley is currently in his 11th year as the Minnesota Vikings Executive Vice President. He helped secure financing for the Vikings new stadium. Come and hear some of the finishing touches they will do to get it ready for the 2016 season.
